Other Facilities

In addition to Mad River Park there are a number of fields and facilities throughout the Valley that are maintained by various volunteer groups. The Mad River Valley Recreation District frequently supports these fields and facilities through their grant program.


Mad River Valley Dog Park

Now Open! Thanks to 125 donors, a Better Places Grant and the Town of Warren, the MRV Dog Park at Brooks Field in Warren is open! It’s opposite the large solar array in the back corner. This fenced in dog park includes a small dog area, a shade structure, chairs/benches, and dog play features. To donate or volunteer contact mrvdogpark@gmail.com


Couples Club Field

Located at 4751 Main Street, Waitsfield, the Couples Field is home to the Mad River Valley Little League baseball and softball teams and the Mad River Valley Bocce League. Privately owned and managed by the Couples Club, the fields also boast a pavilion which can be rented for events during the spring, summer and fall. The Skatium

Located at 40 Slow Rd. in downtown Waitsfield near the Mad River Green shopping center, The Skatium is a seasonal (winter only) outdoor ice skating facility. The ice surface is split 50-50 with one half strictly dedicated to skating and the other half dedicated to stick and puck. The Skatium offers skate rentals and skate sharpening at its warming hut.

Waitsfield Pump Track

Located next to the Waitsfield Elementary School, this Pump Track is perfect for kids to to hone their bike skills.

Brooks Field, Warren

Located at the Warren Elementary School, this muti-use facility hosts: softball, Ultimate Frisbee, skate park, basketball court, tennis and pickelball courts, playground, dog park, story walk leading into the woods and trail access. Warren Skate Park

Located at the Brooks Recreation Field, next to the Warren Elementary School at 254 School Road in Warren, the Warren Skatepark is a concrete skatepark built and maintained by volunteers. Built into a hillside, the 5,000 square ft facility features rollers, a halfpipe, quarter pipes, hips, corners, & an archway. The Park is managed by volunteers who have a Go Fund Me page for donations. In 2021, the Vermont Skatepark Advocate Corporation was started to help with fundraising & construction efforts. Tennis & Pickleball Courts, Warren

Located next to the Warren Elementary School on 254 School Road in Warren, the courts are open to the public on a first-come-first-served basis and maintained by the Town of Warren.

Pickleball players of all abilities are welcome. Paddles and instructions are provided if desired. No charge for outdoor play. If you are interested in joining scheduled play sessions with other pickleball players please sign up here!
